‘What a fantastic performance!’ was the general concensus of all who came along to watch our Year 6 class put on an amazing show last night. For their Leavers’ Performance, the children, under the brilliant direction of Miss Cameron and Miss Kennedy, staged a musical version of Alice in Wonderland with all the usual characters including the Queen of Hearts, the Mad Hatter and the Cheshire Cat. It was a challenging production, not least in the variety of props which were needed – thank you Miss Kennedy –  but also in terms of singing and some very rapid dialogue, particularly for the White Rabbit, played brilliantly by Daniel. Eva, as Alice was amazing, a star in the making and Alfie excelled as the Mad Hatter, he had the audience in stitches.

‘I wouldn’t be surprised if we see some of these children on the West End stage in the coming years,’ said Mrs McDermott, ‘they are such a talented bunch!’
