Congratulations to our Year 3 and Year 4 classes on their wonderful performance of the Christmas Story. Based on the Gospels of the nativity, this musical adaptation was called ‘The Inn Crowd’, and told this familiar story from the point of view of the animals in the stable…

Squashed inside a stable, the animals are fed up: they’re uncomfortable, irritable and one of them is snoring. Even worse, there’s a party at the nearby inn. The animals feel second-rate, second-class, and second to everyone. But then a young couple arrive at the stable, closely followed by a baby, some shepherds and even some kings. And if it’s good enough for kings, then it’s good enough for the animals!

‘The children were word perfect and so clear in their diction and delivery of their lines, we heard every single word so clearly. Add to that the acting, singing and dancing and it made for a stellar performance,’ said Mrs McDermott.

Our enthusiastic audiences agreed judging by the loud applause and positive comments at the end of the show.
