Our Performance Poetry was another huge success this year, with some outstanding performances from all year groups. Each year group gave a fantastic performance of a classic class poem (The Lion and Albert by Marriot Edgar by Y3; The Listeners by Walter de La Mare by Y4; The Highwayman by Alfred Noyes by Y5 and The Pied Piper of Hamelin by Robert Browning by Y6) which was made all the more enjoyable by the addition of props and carefully choreographed actions. Groups from each class then performed a poems which included raps and a battle of words between Winter and Spring! It was then time for individual performances of poems written or learned by the children, all of whom it has to be said were word perfect. Parents were invited along to upper and lower school assemblies and it was lovely to see so many turn up to be a very appreciative audience.

Well done to our individual winners: Faith (Y3), Jessie (Y4), Daisy (Y5) and Viktor (Y6) but also to all of the classes for a very enjoyable afternoon.
