On Thursday morning our Year 3 and Year 4 class led a wonderful Lenten Liturgy for parents and grandparents telling the story of the first Holy Week. The Gospel reading were read as if through the eyes of those who were with Jesus during his journey to the cross, including the disciples and his mother Mary, and through call and response prayers everyone was able to join in. A focus table in the middle of the hall was built up with symbols illustrating this important time of the liturgical year. We also had some wonderful singing and beautiful prayers before the children all left the hall in a reverend silence. Please see below for a list of the Mass times and services for Holy Week at St Joseph’s Parish Church.
