Turn Little Fish into BIG fish. (Cafod 2017)

Following on from our CAFOD Lenten assembly, led by the Mini Vinnies, (see photos below) the children all wrote their Lenten promises on the theme of pray, fast & share. These promises were then displayed in our school hall and in classrooms as a constant reminder of the sacrifices we want to make to show God that we want to follow in Jesus’ footsteps to put each others needs before our own. During Lent this year, we are going to be raising money in school for two charities, one local (St Cuthbert’s Care) and one global (CAFOD). Every Friday the children of each class are going to be leading their own fundraising activity, see below:

Friday 10th March led by Y3 who will be selling raffle tickets for our great Easter Egg draw – 50p per strip.

Friday 17th March led by Y6 who will be baking and selling biscuits & cupcakes and juice for £1.00 at morning break.

Friday 24th March led by Y5 who will be organising ‘watery’ challenge games on the playground. 50p a try.

Friday 31st March led by Y4 who would like everyone to pay £1.00 to come into school in non-uniform wearing as much blue as possible to reflect our fish/water theme.

We would be very grateful for any support you can give and would like to say ‘thank you’ for your continued generosity.
