As part of their history topic, our Year 4 class this week visited Washington Old Hall to learn all about life in Tudor times. As soon as they arrived, they were dressed in peasant clothes and put straight to work as maids, pot girls and boys, gardener’s assistants and cooks! All of these roles were explained to the children as they toured the hall and grounds. Lunch was a ‘Tudor banquet’ in the great hall with Lord Ethan and Lady Leni presiding and followed by a fun afternoon of Tudor games and crafts.
